PSHR is looking for an Apprentice Business Administrator! The role is for 30 hours per week for a fixed-term contract of 18 months initially with the opportunity to become permanent. Group Sales Manager

Our client, Sarsen Stone Group Limited are a family owned company and have been running for 30 years. We source, design and curate natural stone and exclusive tiles which we sell through two distinct brands; Artisans of Devizes (with a team of field and in-house stone consultants to promote our products to interior designers, architects and homeowners with larger scale projects and showrooms in Devizes and London) and Ca’Pietra (selling our products through our network of over 500 specialist KBB retail partners in the UK and Europe).
As Group Sales Manager you will be working with and managing the sales operations team (currently 14 direct reports) responsible for devising a sales strategy that aligns with the business objectives.  This is an exciting opportunity to drive the business forward in an organisation that is growing rapidly.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee, direct and monitor daily activities of sales staff to achieve plans and budgets
  • Promote and nurture a customer care culture delivering care levels consistent with the expectations of the company
  • Ensuring team accountability and responsible for overall target
  • Implementation of sales strategy
  • Identifying valuable emerging markets
  • Serving as a business representative at major industry events, conferences and trade shows
  • Foreseeing and avoiding stagnation in the marketplace
  • Liaising with the marketing team and working jointly on some marketing campaigns to support the sales plan
  • Liaising with customer service and credit control
  • Ownership of department expenses budget
  • Review and improve processes and sales tools
  • Managing KPI’s

Skills and attributes required:

  • Experience in managing, developing, nurturing and coaching successful sales teams
  • To be self-motivated with strong leadership and management skills
  • Strong business sense and ability to forecast major shifts in the marketplace
  • Proven high levels of customer care
  • Experience of CRM systems, analysis tools as well as developing and managing budgets
  • Expert negotiator and presenter
  • Up to date understanding of IT and digital marketing

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior sales manager with an excellent salary of £70,000 per annum basic including bonus scheme (OTE £85,000 to £90,000) for the right candidate.
